For Saxophone background, light music, dinner music the set up is pretty small. 1 or 2 speakers, a small table for computer and mixer, and a saxophone.
The Saxophone One Man Band set up is in a mall and requires little sound to cover the space - I have one speaker and table with a sax.
Greg Vail is a world-class saxophonist with a remarkable career spanning over 40 years. He has collaborated with an impressive roster of 'A-list' artists and has deep musical roots in American, Japanese, and Spanish music. Most recently, until the COVID-19 pandemic, Greg was the regular touring saxophonist for the world-famous Mexican artist Luis Miguel, touring across Mexico, South America, and Spain since early 2018.
Greg's Japanese credits include collaborations with guitarist Tak Matsumoto, The Killer B’s, and the band Dream’s Come True. In the U.S., he has had the pleasure of recording or performing with legends such as Elton John, Chaka Khan, Toto, Earth, Wind & Fire, Weezer, Josh Groban, Jason Mraz, Natalie Cole, Al Jarreau, Michael McDonald, Smokey Robinson, David Pack of Ambrosia, Evelyn Champagne King, Brian Wilson, and Al Stewart.
As a solo artist, Greg has released six CDs and contributed to the million-selling series "Sax by Candlelight" and "Sax by Moonlight" under Time Life/Warner. He has been a prominent figure in Christian/Gospel, Smooth Jazz, and Pop music for nearly four decades. Greg is also a composer, arranger, national recording artist, and educator. He proudly represents Yamaha as a saxophone artist.
In the realm of education, Greg runs multiple websites offering saxophone information and guidance. He has been teaching privately for over 37 years and has served as a Yamaha Clinician since 1991. From his home studio in Orange County, CA, he teaches saxophone, flute, clarinet, and EWI. He also conducts Skype lessons for students worldwide, covering styles such as Classical, Rock, RnB, Jazz, and commercial music. Greg equips his students with the skills needed to become saxophone artists, band leaders, sidemen, and professionals in the music industry.
